Helping Her Discover Her Dreams
" The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams."
~ Elanor Roosevelt

Today we are working to end the need of single mothers and widows to sell their children into labor situations in Ghana instead of sending them to school. In the Ghanaian culture this scenario is acceptable. Children are easily seen as a commodity, something to be sold.
As easy as it may be for us to get angry with the mother or grandmother who sells the child we must understand that she is doing what she knows. What is normal and acceptable to her. It is our desire to create paradigm shifts in the communities where we work. One mother. One grandmother. One pastor. One family at a time. We want to help her, empower her, educate her and employ her so that she can keep her children and feel confident in her ability to care for them.
